Agnosticism is not a belief; it means "without knowledge." If you don't believe in gods, you are an atheist. If you don't believe in gods, but you prefer to call yourself agnostic, you are still an atheist ("not theist").
You are contradicting yourelf anonymous 2. Agnosticism is different to atheism just as you say (shortly before you say it is). Agnostics admit they do not know the answer - there may be a god or gods. Atheists know there isn't. Interesting that most claim to be scientific in that belief despite the fact that science says you cannot prove a negative - that something does not exist.
Atheists believe there are no gods. They know they could be wrong.Theists believe there is a god. They know they are right.
