Matt Jones Pleads Not Guilty to Drug Charge

Matt Jones Pleads Not Guilty to Drug Charge: "Former Razorback quarterback Matt Jones pleaded not guilty in Fayetteville on Monday to possession of a controlled substance.

The receiver with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars had been arrested in Fayetteville on July 10th.

The police report issued after Jones' arrest stated that a police officer saw him inside a vehicle using a credit card to cut up a white substance, later tested to be cocaine.

Jones' father denied those allegations to the Razorback Nation when his son was first arrested and continues to deny his son had cocaine in his possession, but says instead that the star football player was only near the drugs.

If convicted of the felony charge, Jones faces 3 to 10 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine."
